Leaving on a jet plane

Mom, Dad and I are leaving today in about an hour to go to Utah. Grandma Kieffer passed away last night about 5:00 my time. We are saddened and will certainly feel the loss but are happy for her. She is having, I'm sure, a joyous reunion with her husband, father and mother, siblings and others who have gone on before her. That, at least, gives me some solace.

I went to church today and the closing song was "God be With you 'til We Meet Again." too hard to sing but definitely a true sentiment today. Until we meet again Grandma. I love you.

I'm sorry, Kainty. I'm glad you're able to have a good perspective on it. Still, I'm sorry for your loss and hope you get through it okay.

Kathryn, I'm so sorry. I love your Grandma (and Grandpa K too, for that matter; he was a sweetie). She was feisty and funny and generous (qualities you must have inherited and carry on, come to think of it). I hope I'll get a chance to hug you in person while you're in the neighborhood, but here's a virtual one just in case.

I didn't know your grandmother, but if, like rch says, she was like you, she must have been a great lady. we send our sympathy. did she live in the 25th ward--on what street? come and see us sometime.
my favorite scriptures are in the old testament--it has so many interesting stories and i also like

Sorry to hear about your Grandmother. I love you. Hope the funeral was beautiful. Makes me think of how you sang with me at my dad's funeral. Music makes all the difference sometimes, doesn't it?
