The book for this week is Somewhere in Heaven: The Remarkable Love Story of Dana and Christopher Reeve by Christopher Andersen.
I had always wanted to know more about Dana and Christopher Reeve. I really think she was amazing for the way she helped him after his accident and then through her own illness. It is a truly inspiring story but isn't all hearts and flowers. The author manages to also show the difficult side of living and caring for someone with a catastrophic illness.
Its a great read.

cool.
my dad has a BF from HS who was paralysed from the neck down in a horrible football accident when they were 17.
To make a really long story short, I've always thought his life was amazing, but even more so, was how he met his wife (after the accident of course) and she cared for him (they even had a son) for the rest of his life. He has recently passed away after living in his paralysed condition for more than 33 years.
inspirational.
Tara I totally agree and I think that it is those people, the unsung heroes, that would make the most interesting books. I like reading about real people and their problems and to realize that even though you are famous and have lots of money you might have the same trial as the next door neighbor. It was a good book.
I really love your Wednesday posts! I have to admit I stole your idea, and now have Book Fair Fridays on my blog. I have even taken your advice and got Brothers in Battle... I really like it so far. Thanks for sharing your selections!
