One month later

So its been one month since my 30th birthday and frankly..nothing has really changed. I think that mentally this birthday was the hardest so far that I've ever had. But as I look back on my 20's I wouldn't necessarily want to go back there either. Or to my teens for that matter.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm glad I'm 30. I'm glad that I have more confidence in myself then I did in my 20's. I'm glad that I'm smarter than I was back then about a variety of things. I am glad that I still talk to 2 of my closest friends from high school and that we've all grown up together and become some pretty incredible women. I'm glad that my family didn't make fun of me too much when the big birthday finally rolled around.

I'm glad for the lessons that I've learned thus far in my life and the way those lessons have shaped who I am. I am glad for the hard times that have also made me the person I am today. So looking back I know that 30 was hard to think about and wrap my brain around but I am glad to be here. Glad to be in a place where I am more comfortable with who I am and what I am doing with my life.
