I love my bluetooth

As referenced in an earlier blog I received a bluetooth from my parents for my birthday. I had decided a few weeks ago that I wanted to get one so that I could talk to people on my way home and not kill anyone else. It makes sense right?

I wore it for the first time today as I drove home, thus using my time wisely and being able to keep in touch with those I love. I loved using my bluetooth. It was so great to have my hands free and be able to talk. I could even answer with one hand! I should have gotten one YEARS ago.

However, that being said I do have rules for myself regarding the use of said Blue Tooth because I hate it when people just wear them for no reason. Why, for instance, do you need to wear it in the store? Can't you NOT talk on your phone for the half an hour that you are in the store? Apparently not. I'm not going to wear it to social events, like Broadway shows or ward parties. When we went to see the Lion King there was a lady in my perephial vision with her Blue Tooth on that I could see blinking out of the corner of my eye. SO ANNOYING. I won't be one of those people. I promise.

I'm such a dork. I used to be so techy, so up on all the latest stuff.... But now? I don't even know what a bluetooth is.

::hangs head in shame::

Don't feel sad! It just a fancy way to say a headset you can wear and it hooks up to your phone. When I set it up, I can say to my Blue Tooth, "Call Rachael" and it will dial you without my having to touch my cell phone. I can also answer calls by pushing one button on the headset. Its pretty cool. I really, really should have gotten one YEARS ago.

Actually,

Bluetooth is a wireless communication protocol that can transmit voice and data signals. It's commonly found in devices such as cellphones, headsets, keyboards/mice, and PDAs.

Read about it below:
