A Temple in Kansas City

I was thrilled to hear that there will be a new temple in the greater KC area yesterday at Conference. It is so amazing and such a blessing for all of the faithful saints out there. Maybe I should move back? :-) I am so happy. I cried for five minutes on the phone with my sister. Wow. Amazing.

Me too! I audibly gasped when I heard that! I voted in your poll, but not Jackson County. That would just be too crazy. (I voted OPK.) In any case.... WOW! Amazing. I'm super excited. :-)

What about Clay county?

I almost fell out of my chair when I read that on the news this morning.

Move back! Move back! You can sell underwear here, too!

Does this mean they should start wheeling the Salt Lake temple in this direction now??

I hope they don't put it in JoCo. Jackson would bring about mass hysteria to the likes we have never seen. Clay county would be a good option, too.

Maybe the church has decided that the saints in St Louis need to start being faithful enough to use their own temple, rather than depending us on keeping it open. Of course, that is the cynical view.

A temple in KC is great, but that doesn't mean that the second coming will happen a week after the temple opens, especially when there were a number of talks during conference that made it very clear that we still have a long way to get to Zion. I sure hope everybody thinking about moving back was listening to that.
