WHAT????????

The new Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince has pushed back the opening day until NEXT SUMMER? OH, the inhumanity, the unmitigated gall!!!!!!! I was really, really, really, really looking forward to seeing that this fall in just a few months now I have to wait a whole year.

And why, you ask, are they doing this? Did Daniel Radcliffe fall down and break something? Did they need more post production time? No..more money. That is the only reason. A slot "opened up" in the summer so they took it. Do they need more money? No. Would the movie have done well in November? Yes.

GRRRR...

If you don't believe me go here for the whole awful story.

Sigh.

Yeah, add this to the checklist of a crappy day.

This is the biggest steaming pile of crap I've heard since all the other crap I've heard coming from the Beijing Olympics (in their effort to portray perfection).

I have half a mind to boycott the movie when it does come out, but I know I don't have the strength to stay away. Instead, I may wait a week or two to see it so as not bolster the coveted opening weekend numbers. See it on a weekday, during the daytime, $5 admission.

Take that studio biatches!!!!

I must say I've always liked that Harry Potter came out in that cozy time during the fall between Halloween and the madness of the Christmas holidays. Something good to take the edge off all that shopping, snuggled up in a dark movie theater sounds like an ideal place to be in balmy November. Not that I get to see movies during opening weekend anyway. :( It is tacky that they bumped it at the last minute, but isn't that primarily what Hollywood is all about? To make loads of money? I'm not all that shocked. They bumped Star Trek, too! Jerks. ;)
